NOTA DE PRENSA DE DOCUMENTUM USA
PLEASANTON, Calif., Sept. 16– Documentum today announced that CDM, a global, full-service consulting, engineering, construction and operations firm, has selected Documentum 5, the latest version of the Documentum ECM platform.
CDM has also selected Documentum Records Manager for a comprehensive records archival and retention system that is certified against the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) 5015.2 for electronic record-keeping systems. The company has also extended its use of Documentum eRoom, Documentum’s enterprise collaboration solution. CDM will deploy the Documentum solution to create, manage, deliver and archive engineering details, specifications and project-related content, and enhance communication internally and with its clients.
Established in 1947, CDM provides the full range of consulting, engineering, construction and operations services to public and private clients in the areas of drinking water, wastewater, water resources, transportation, solid and hazardous waste and information management.
As an existing Documentum eRoom customer, the company was looking for a content management platform that would enable the capture and re-use of collaborative content, which could later be referenced during future projects and client engagements.
CDM also needed a system that would simplify and streamline the delivery of many reports, environmental studies and tens of thousands of engineering drawings to its clients. After evaluating requirements, CDM selected Documentum 5 due to the robustness and scalability of the platform, its unmatched security and its ease of integration with CDM’s existing software infrastructure. CDM’s success with Documentum eRoom also contributed to the company’s decision to extend its use of Documentum products.
«Using Documentum, our scientists and engineers can easily contribute, organize and access content, while increasing efficiency and communication across our teams and with our clients,» said Peter Palmisano, chief information officer of CDM. «We found Documentum to be technically superior to competing solutions, and believe Documentum has the stability and vision we required in a vendor.»
«CDM is another example of an organization that has combined the easy-to-use Documentum eRoom workspace with the powerful Documentum ECM platform to accelerate team projects, and to help the company comply with industry and government regulations,» said Dave DeWalt, president and chief executive officer for Documentum. «Compliance is a key issue for firms doing business in the engineering, construction and operations market and Documentum continues to be their ECM platform choice. We look forward to a lasting relationship with CDM.»
